Red Lentil Waffles

Waffles
- 1 dl Red lentils
- 2 dl Water
- 6 dl Milk
- 150 grams Butter
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 2.5 dl All purpose flour
- 2 dl Rye flour
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
Boil the lentils in the water for 15 - 20 minutes. Do not add salt until after boiled.
Melt butter in microwave and let cool.
Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Once the lentils are cooked, pour the milk into the lentils and let cool. This allows for the lentils to cool faster.
Add the butter and the lentil-milk mix to the dry ingredients.
Cook on a waffle iron until golden on both sides (takes about 3 minutes).
